About Me:

I'm a college student who has finally decided on what to do for the rest of my life. After many hours of soul searching, and two major changes later, I have chosen to become a teacher. I seem to get kids, and they seem to get me. My dad says it's because we connect on a mental level. (haha very funny daddy) It took me a few more years then most to make this decision, but now that I’ve made it I’m very content and happy with where my life is headed.

I was a swimmer and water polo player for majority of my life, sixteen years or so. However, injuries brought my competetive career to an early end. I swim with a masters team to keep myself sane, after years of training one sport it's hard to give up something you love, just because you get hurt. I also get my chlorine fix by coaching club, and high school swimming. In my spare time, which is hard to get these days, I take martial arts classes, nothing serious just good times, but I could kick your ass if I had to.

I have two older half brothers, and a younger sister. I don’t see my brothers that often since they got older, but when they’re around its like old times; they pick on me incessantly. My sister and I get along a lot better these days then we did in the past. I guess growing up does that to you. She just got married in April, and is moving to Italy with her husband Josh, while he’s stationed there in the Air Force. I’m really going to miss her when she’s gone and will be counting down the days until they both come home. She has always been someone I could go to with anything and I’m going to be lost without her close by. The good part is I have a free place to stay in Italy for the next three years if I need it.

Music is a huge part of my life, mostly because it’s my escape from reality, and my cheap form of therapy. So it goes with out saying that I spend a good portion of my day listening to music. One day I will learn guitar, and play the piano again.

I am a hopeless romantic, but am slowly beginning to understand that there might not be a place for girls like that in this world. I believe in lust at first site, as for love; not too likely. I can find humor in everything, however it’s usually at the most inopportune moments. I am slowly learning how to work to my potential. It’s taken me awhile to realize my own self-worth and I am huge work in progress. I have many dorky moments, just asks my best friend Adrienne, and she’ll tell you a wonderful story about Harvard in California. I can be confident and insecure at the same time. I can't spell because I inherited my dad's bad spelling gene, and I'm pretty bad a using proper grammar. I don’t have a huge group of close friends, I have more acquaintances and then I have my few select friends who have earned a special place in my life and in my heart.

I have a very busy life, and I prefer it that way for the most part. I've pretty much follwed a schedule since I was five, and that kind of structure is comforting. I get bored when I don't have a set schedule of activities, maybe I have ADD but I can't just sit around all day and wait to go to work or class. This doesn't mean I can't be lazy, I'm good at laying around on the couch watching movies all day. The free time I have I spend with friends and family, so if you fit into my life consider yourself loved.

If you’ve spent the time to read this far and maybe some of the other stuff on my page, you can tell that I have a thing for quotes. They are just another way I “digest” the world, take from them what you will. So, that’s a little bit about me, I’m more complex then a few paragraphs, but if you want to know more then you’re going to have to ask.
